Taft started the career of a regional station and sideline reporter for Fox Sports North, after getting a broadcast journalism diploma at Boston University. In 2018, she became popular after she was requested to be the moderator on the hit TV Show Skip and Shannon Undisputed. She still holds this position today. In recent times, she was named the host of her own show CFB Inside Slant.
